Hi, everyone!! As you know by now my name is Mary Mauceri. I love my married last name because it is exotic. My maiden name (Hughes) is boring, often mispronounced and was a constant source of embarassment while growing up. Teachers would pronounce it as "huge" and since I have alwas been big every kid would just have a ball at my expense. When I think about it, though, that is probably the one reason why I am able to laugh in situations like that.
Anyway, I'm 29 years old and I have two lovely babies. My girl is six and knows more than I ever did at that age. My son is four months and is already flirting with women. I mean it; no joke. Russell, my husband, works at Wintzell's downtown and when all his pretty co-workers come to ogle over him he just puts on his most appealingly bashful face. I love my babies more than anything.
I am a student of education because I have a natural talent for teaching. I hope that one day I will be able to make a living doing something that I enjoy and something that matters a little more to me than scanning groceries. I started in 2007 and took a break after last fall to focus on my pregnancy and the first few months of my son's life. Now I'm trying to get back in the groove of balancing school and home.
